Destructo’s Dance Music Domination

As the winter season passes, so does another sold out Holy Ship! festival. The annual 4-day electronic music festival cruise departed from Miami on February 10th and not only boasted huge names such as RL Grime and Porter Robinson but also three sets featuring the festival founder himself, Gary Richards, aka Destructo.

Known for putting out massive electronic festivals such as HARD Summer, HARD Day of the Dead, HARD Red Rocks, and throwing the first ever Electric Daisy Carnival in 1991, just to name a few, it seems almost impossible that LA-based Destructo has time to produce consistent bangers of the G-House, Tech House, and Electro House variety. His newest single ‘4 Real” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and iLoveMakonnen dropped about a month ago and showcases his genre-bending style flawlessly.

This year on Holy Ship!, in addition to a solo DJ set, Destructo performed his trademark sermon set along with the sunrise during the wee hours of the morning as well as a b2b set with DIRTYBIRD’s Justin Martin. You can check out all three of the sets below and see Destructo himself live on the Xtreme Spring Break trip in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

SNBRN, Shaun Frank, and Dr. Fresch Drop a G-House Banger

A few months ago, LA producer SNBRN dropped a track with a guy who has jammed out with Justin Bieber. These days, he’s trying something completely new.

In addition to using a previously unreleased Nate Dogg acapella, the father of “Sunset House” himself, known for catchy beats and chill vibes, has recently released a collaboration with Shaun Frank and Dr. Fresch of a completely different flavor. “The New Order” falls somewhere in the realm of G-House, and it’s dirty bass line and catchy lyrics will have you bumping it all night long.

Give the song a listen and don’t forget to grab tickets to SNBRN 4/29 in Cincinnati here and 4/30 in Columbus here.
