Watch and Listen: Sick Individuals & Axwell ft. Taylr Renee – “I AM” (Official Music Video + Remixes)

House music royalty Axwell – of Swedish House Mafia – has collaborated with breakthrough electro house duo Sick Individuals and US vocalist Taylr Renee on the standout track of 2013, ‘I AM’.  Having already reached #1 on Beatport, this combination of talent results in a driving yet euphoric house track whose trajectory is constantly lifting.

For the video, Axtone worked with to fund young filmmakers through an official music video competition.  Budding directors were asked to show how ‘I Am’ makes them feel. The winning video, picked by the artists is directed by Matthew Laengand tells the emotional story of a single mother struggling to cope whilst one of her sons is missing.  With over 40 entries in total, the submissions were so strong that additional videos will follow for the I AM remixes.

Crafted by three experts in their field, ‘I AM’ is set to be a future anthem with its unforgettable melody. On remix duties, some of the most exciting figures of electronic music from both sides of the Atlantic have delivered their own version of ‘I AM,’ soon to be unveiled: Los Angeles native Deorro, one of the top young upcoming producers/DJs in the music industry today, and 22-year-old UK prodigy Jacob Plant, former BBC Introducing alumni.  UK Drum and bass aficionado Nu:Tone provides the final remix.

With a history of discovering new talent, Axwell has uncovered yet another gem in California’s Taylr Renee who is both the vocalist and lyricist on ‘I AM’. Dutch DJ/Producer duo Sick Individuals have recently turned heads with their formidable production skills and brilliant remix of David Guetta and Rihanna’s hit ‘Right Now.’

Having headlined the first ever Sunburn Festival in Goa when it began back in 2007, Axwell will be making a much-anticipated return this year on December 29th to headline the 35,000 event. Axwell last visited India earlier this year as one third of Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour.  Sick Individuals continue to churn out original extraordinary productions that are grabbing attention worldwide. Whether it’s through their original releases, massive remixes, or legendary live shows, the past couple years have been outstanding for the Dutch duo: they have already delivered a number of break through, high-impact big room future classics in their short time on the scene and with two successive Beatport No.1‘s with ‘I AM’ and their brand new single ‘Blueprint’ with the sought after Dannic, they are on a monumental roll to success. Sick Individuals kicked off their grueling world tour in Amsterdam at ADE, the biggest international club festival in the world. They continued around America, the Middle East, Europe and finish their tour in late December in the UK, from Glasgow’s Tunnel to the legendary Gatecrasher Club in Birmingham on December 26th.
